Gary Durrant, Head Chef of Hunter 486 located within five-star hotel The Arch London, has devised a new menu promising a truly British gastronomic experience this spring.
The new ‘Best of British’ menu features delicious spring flavours and the best seasonal ingredients such as Lamb, Jersey Royals, and Asparagus. The new dishes are complemented by the restaurant’s extensive wine and Champagne list, which has now extended to 27 available by the glass, priced from £6.50.
New culinary delights include Cornish mackerel with Jersey Royals, quail eggs, apple and mustard dressing; and Goat’s curd and honey stuffed courgette flower, peas and tomato, for starters. There is also a selection of new main courses including Lemon sole fillets with Jersey royals, samphire and potted shrimp butter; and Roast Norfolk Black chicken, sweet potato gnocchi, peas with tarragon sauce.
The menu includes an array of heavenly desserts, with new additions such as a Raspberry and pistachio trifle; Passion fruit cheesecake and sorbet; and Rice pudding with a summer berry compote.
Guests staying at The Arch London will also be able to take advantage of the new room service menu which features dishes such as Quinoa, rocket and pomegranate with orange and saffron roast fennel; andAsparagus, pea, broad bean and mint risotto with parmesan crisp.
Hunter 486 will continue to take full of advantage their stone oven which will be in use every day including every Sunday when Hunter 486 serves a traditional Roast from Noon until 10pm priced at £22.95 for two courses.
Named after the 1950s dialling code for Marylebone, Hunter 486 has been designed with an air of nostalgic London glamour fused with contemporary touches. The restaurant features gleaming leather booths, blown glass chandeliers and statement artwork, plus an adjoining chic Salon de Champagne bar. The kitchen is delightfully open plan and airy, allowing guests to watch the skilled chefs at work amongst the gleaming selection of copper pots and pans suspended from the ceiling. Light streams through the large windows, treating guests to a charming view of the neighbourhood mews, and come the evening, the softly lit restaurant is an intimate and romantic setting for dinner and drinks.
