~ Three restaurants, including Bohemia, were presented with prestigious AA Award ~
On Monday 25 September 2017, Michelin starred Bohemia in Jersey was awarded the top accolade of five AA rosettes at a glittering awards ceremony held in London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
Bohemia now joins an elite group of the UK’s top dining establishments with five AA rosettes including The Fat Duck, Helene Darroze at The Connaught, and Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons.
15restaurants in the UK hold five AA rosettes and Bohemia is the only restaurant in the Channel Islands to have achieved this award. This supreme accolade is the highest AA rosette ranking that a restaurant can achieve.
Five AA rosettes are only awarded when the cooking is at the pinnacle of achievement and when flavours, combinations and textures show a faultless sense of balance, giving each dish an extra dimension.
Head Chef Steve Smith said: “I am absolutely delighted and lost for words at receiving this highly prestigious accolade. This is an enormous accomplishment and I will be celebrating with my whole team at Bohemia. We strive to create unique and innovative menus for our customers so that they have an exceptional dining experience; therefore I am truly delighted that the hard work of our fantastic team at Bohemia has been rewarded.”
Bohemia was recently ranked as 11th best restaurant in the whole of the UK in the Good Food Guide 2018. Bohemia was also ranked at number 42 in Square Meal's Top 100 Best Restaurants 2017 and is the only restaurant in the Channel Islands to be featured in both lists. Bohemia has also received the prestigious two-star award in the ‘World’s Best Wine Lists Awards 2017’, and the Award of Excellence for its outstanding wine selection in ‘Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Wine List Awards 2017.’
Visitors to the restaurant can sample Bohemia’s 3-course set lunch on a Saturday for £24.95 per person; while during the week the set lunch is £29.50 for 3-courses. For a true gourmet experience, Steve Smith has created outstanding ingredient and flavour driven tasting menus, priced from £79 for 7-courses. Vegetarian and Pescatarian Tasting Menus are also available, starting from £79 for 7-courses. The Bohemia Afternoon Tea, served from 2.30pm until 5.30pm, is £19.95 per person.
The restaurant is open from Monday to Saturday, Noon until 2.30pm for lunch, and 6.30pm until 10.30pm for dinner.
